Research
Significant advances have been made in the quality and success of medical treatments now offered. These improvements have had a direct result on the decrease in mortality rates of people diagnosed with breast cancer and would not have been made without ongoing effective research.
Equipment
Hospitals & Research Institutions are continuously seeking funding to upgrade their equipment used at diagnostic, treatment and research levels. We provide some funding for these purchases which can produce quicker turn around times in research outcomes and improved diagnosis and treatment options offered by hospitals.
Awareness
Today's community is far better informed and aware of the benefits of early detection and the need for regular screening. Although this has improved, awareness is still not high enough, and we will continue to increase our projects in this area. Awareness continues to be the key as early detection decreases the mortality rate.

Patient Accommodation
More people each year are diagnosed with breast cancer - Incidence rates continue to rise, meaning more people require treatment. Our patient accommodation is fully self contained and provides a comfortable home away from home for patients and their families during oncology treatment.
Fundraising
Fundraising is an enjoyable way of assisting our fight against breast cancer - Your initiative to hold a fundraising event is welcomed and encouraged by Breast Cancer Australia.
